A Piece of
My Story
I have been interested in health and wellness since high school and even wanted to be a dietitian, but my relationship with food was so unhealthy that I went for a more general health degree. I graduated with my B.S. in Public Health from Brigham Young University in 2007. As time passed, my interest in nutrition grew, my eating became less disordered, and I decided I wanted to become a Registered Dietitian.
In 2014, I went back to school to study dietetics. I stuck with it for a long time while also being a stay at home mom raising my four kids. I enjoyed diving into nutrition with my classes, spent a couple years working as a grad assistant, and wrote a thesis about multivitamin mineral supplements and their effect on mood. I proudly graduated with my M.S. in Human Nutrition from the University of Arkansas in 2022.
I went straight into my full-time dietetic internship with KADDI, a distance program based in Tulsa, OK and set up my own rotation sites in NWA. I completed my 1,000 hours in February, sat for my RD exam in March, and opened up my own private practice 2 weeks later. I couldn’t wait to share all the things I’ve learned over the years.
I couldn’t have done all that I have without the support of my awesome husband and four loving and forgiving kids (ages 8-16). I am truly living my dream doing 1-on-1 nutritional counseling. I absolutely love what I do and I think you’ll feel that when you are with me.
